Help save government funding of our schools!
Governor Schwarzenegger has proposed a state budget that would cut education funding by $4.8 billion. This averages over $800 per student. This would have dramatic effects on school and district programs. Hopefully, our state legislators can put pressure on the governor to improve his upcoming revision to the budget in May.
Newark residents can contact the following legislators. Urge the legislators to put pressure on the governor.

Is the giant millipede feeling well?
I think the giant millipede isn't feeling very well. In the morning I find her curled up near the heater. Eventually she goes into her little log house. I haven't seen her eat in WEEKS. I've tried apples, apricots, spinach, banana and carrots. I haven't seen her eat and I am worried. I don't really know what to do.
Everyone else seems to be doing fine though.
